ROTARY HOUSE

Rotary House serves a vital need in our community providing accommodation for people with hearing problems. Indeed there is no other place quite like it in the UK. 

Rotary  House was built in King Street, Norwich in 1977, some twelve years after the idea was first put forward by members of the Rotary Club of Norwich. Most of those  years were spent negotiating with various Government bodies to obtain the finance. The Management Committee are all volunteers and receive no remuneration  for what they do. ​

Rotary House was originally built in the knowledge  that Deaf people had many problems getting jobs. Nowadays finding work for our  tenants is only one of the aims. Perhaps the main objective is to  provide a safe, secure, and happy home for those affected by deafness where they  can receive the support necessary for them to live independently. ​
